A Glance at Discount Dog Beds
Many individuals need to make sure their family pet has just the right bed, but won't be content to pay the (often quite hefty) cost. It’s really more difficult to find designer and luxury dog beds particularly for outsized pets than it is to find discount dog beds for average sized animals. If you aren't too particular about the planning of the fabrics being used in the bed; if your dog is of average weight and size; and if her sleeping habits aren't too acute in the curling up or stretching out circumstances; you can save lots of money when you get a dog bed that is correct for her.
To start with, lots of the more dear bed-makers change their designs just like clothing designers do for people, if not quite as often. The changes do result in closeouts and dropped items being radically marked down at pet shops across the country and on the Web. Then there are the various pet supermarkets and discount outlets who carry a range of cosy beds, in a selection of colours at costs much reduced from the posh beds available at upmarket pet shops.
Then there is always the option to go forward and make your own dog bed. If you've got any sewing capability at all, (and for the most part, a dog bed is more about being comfy and sturdy than about looking great) you can produce an average-sized, comfy, washer-friendly dog bed for just a few greenbacks worth of fabric and filler material. Cut a couple of pieces of fabric “it can be from an old sheet, a shower curtain, or a pleasant comfortable old dressing gown “and sew them together to make a pillow of the correct size. Stuff it with filler material and you have got a comfortable, easy dog bed. You'll also make a classier dog bed with a upper ring by cutting a long rectangle of fabric and making a tubular pillow to go around the edge. Then fasten the higher ring to the original base with hand stitching.
You have just made a snug, cleanable bed for your dog made with love by your own two hands using a bit of fabric you’d likely ditch, some kind of filler material and a little bit of your precious time. What simpler way to save money and look after your loving pet at the same time? You will enjoy the process of making the bed equally as much as your pet will enjoy sleeping in it.
